Now onto the most recent animal sighting. Please keep in mind, we live in DALLAS. Not a suburb of Dallas, not even close. Deep in the heart of the city..
Last Friday our lovely little street got a surprise.. a late Thanksgiving surprise, let's call it. I am normally at the office Friday, but Trey was staying home with a sinus infection and my grandparents happened to be off work too. Papa comes in from walking the dogs and says Moses had swiftly turned his head at the sight of what Papa first thought was a cat. Well Papa didn't have his glasses on, and when he looked a little closer he realized it was SO not a cat. Soon after Papa came in the house, I got a picture from another lovely neighbor that this same animal was in his front yard. We had a nice laugh about how this could possibly end up in our neighborhood and then went about our day. I took Trey to the doctor, ran errands, and eventually ended up back at my grandparents. The phone rang, I answered, and it was Lisa and she sounded panicked. I gave the phone to Nanny and she immediately started laughing and said "we will be there in just a minute." The animal was now stuck in Lisa's car port and she needed help getting it out! Here comes Nanny without shoes on, Papa WITH his glasses, Brady, Trey with a sinus infection, and me all out in the front yard. When you ask for one of us.. you never really know what your going to get :) I couldn't believe my eyes.. a real life TURKEY was in Lisa's carport! It was hilarious. From here the story becomes hours of trying to save this turkey without hurting it all while wondering where in the world did this thing come from!? Only my
Trying to find something big enough to transport the Turkey..
Thanks for the help, Matt!
